As a former Muslim and anti-Islamist, I am committed to exposing the moral flaws of Muhammad and the religion he founded, I do this through arguments and evidence, drawn from primary Islamic sources, historical accounts, and analysis of Islamic texts.

Islam, despite claiming to be a religion of peace or justice, has approved practices that any reasonable person would consider barbaric, including the rape of women captured in war.

This report will demonstrate through Quranic verses, Hadith, and Muhammad’s own historical examples that he not only approved but actively participated in rape and codified the sexual exploitation of non-Muslim women as “right-handed property.”

Islamic thinkers attempt to justify these atrocities through contextual excuses or denials, but the evidence is incontrovertible: Muhammad’s actions and teachings demonstrate rape as a tool of conquest and subjugation.

Quranic Basis: Explicit Permission for Sexual Relations with Captive Women

The Quran, which Muslims claim to be the eternal word of God revealed to Muhammad, provides the religious basis for the approval of rape. Several verses explicitly permit Muslim men to have sexual relations with women captured in war, referred to as “those whom your right hand possesses” (ma malakat aymanukum). This phrase refers to slaves or captives, and the context makes it clear that consent is irrelevant, meaning that these women are to be considered property and can be used as you wish.

Surah An-Nisa verse 24: Forbidden to you among women are women who are married, except for those whom your right hand possesses. Allah has made these provisions obligatory upon you. The commentary of this Surah states, “Thus He (Allah) has forbidden married women to you. Except for those whom you have captured while fighting in the way of Allah, it is lawful for you to have intercourse with them after their wombs have been emptied through a menstrual period. Allah has made it obligatory upon you to observe this law.”

Arguably, if a woman is captured, stripped of her freedom, and then subjected to the sexual demands of her captor, this is rape by any moral standard. This verse directly permits sexual relations with married female captives, ignoring the marital status of the captives and implying forced relations because captives who have just lost their husbands to Islamic militants cannot freely consent to sexual relations.

This Quranic verse also mentions sexual relations with female captives in several other verses, such as Surah Al-Mu’minun, verse 6, and Surah Al-Ma’arij, verse 30.

Hadith Evidence: Muhammad’s Direct Participation and Approval

Hadith are collections of Muhammad’s words and actions that are considered authoritative in Islam and provide concrete examples of the approval of rape. These books, compiled by scholars such as Bukhari and Muslim, are considered Sunnah (exemplary conduct) that Muslims must follow.

Muhammad directly permitted the rape of female captives (Sahih Muslim 3413). …”Yes, we were fighting with Muhammad against Banu Mustaliq. In that war, we obtained many good and beautiful slave girls. Meanwhile, we had been abstaining from women for a long time. On the other hand, we were fond of wealth. In this situation, we wanted to achieve our goal and kill them. But we also discussed whether we should do this while Muhammad was among us. Should we not ask him about it? So we asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He said: There is no harm in not doing that, because Allah has written down for creation all the people until the Day of Judgment.”

In the Battle of Banu al-Mustaliq, Muhammad himself was forced to marry a woman named Juwayriyyah bint al-Harith (whose husband had been killed in the battle) in exchange for freeing 100 families of her tribe (Sunan Abu Dawud 3931).

Muhammad’s own examples are found in the hadiths, which clearly demonstrate rape. Sunan Abu Dawud 2995 Narrated Anas ibn Malik. He said, “We attacked Khaibar. When Allah conquered it, the beauty of Safiyyah, the daughter of Huwayy, was described to Muhammad. She was newly married and her husband had been killed in the battle. Muhammad chose her for himself. Then he took her with him and set out from there. ‘When we reached a place called Saddus-Sahba, she became pure from her menstrual period. Muhammad lived in seclusion with her.”

Safia, whose husband and father Muhammad killed, did not give her consent voluntarily; she was a prisoner whose family had been destroyed. Muhammad raped Safia through intimidation and force. Is that clear?

Moreover, the incident of Aisha is one of the most controversial and inhuman aspects of Islam. Sahih Muslim (Hadith 3311): Aisha said, “The Prophet married me when I was seven years old; and when I went to his house, I was nine years old. My doll was still with me.” This is child rape in modern law, because a 9-year-old child is incapable of consenting. Islamic sources describe it as normal, but it raises serious questions about Muhammad’s morality. This incident shows that Islam approves of child marriage, which is a crime in the modern world.

Sahih Bukhari (Hadith 6130): Aisha (RA) narrated, “I used to play with dolls in front of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).”

Can you imagine how a girl playing with dolls could have consented to having sex with Muhammad?

Under Sharia law, there is no requirement for consent for sexual relations with slave girls. According to Sharia, slave girls are the property of their owners, and intercourse with them is “lawful.” Classical Islamic jurists say that the consent of the slave is “optional” but not legally necessary.

Through the Quran, Hadith, and history, Muhammad not only approved of rape but also established it as halal for Muslims. This is not an exaggeration, it is a proven fact from Islam’s own scriptures. As a supposed prophet, he failed the basic test of humanity and revealed the true face of a corrupt Islam.
